Title: can i have a window in my steam room
Post by: Kivi on December 17, 2009, 01:23:46 PM
I have a window approx 18x30 in the location of where I intend to build my shower.

Do you have a recommendation regarding ext windows w/in the shower? (IE: style/type of window)

Or should this window be relocated if possible?

Thx

Windows to the exterior of a home is an area for heat loss.  So, first, when calculating for steam, make sure you include the heat loss factor for the Exterior Window on an Exterior Wall.

I would also recommend that the window you purchase is rated for steam and that the trim won't mold or rot from the steam.
