Title: Low steam room ceiling height
Post by: Jake on February 09, 2009, 02:56:51 PM
I am considering having a steam room built/installed in my basement. Space is a huge problem, including the height. I am looking at a very low room ceiling. What adverse effects will this have? I would imagine just the oppisite from a tall ceiling. Also, due to the projected lower cieling, is where, or rather, how low should the steam head be placed from the ceiling?

Without knowing the dimensions of your room, it would be difficult to provide a recommendation.  However, with the right planning your steam shower will be a delightful environment.  For ceiling heights under 7', be sure to review the specific details with a specialist when planning your installation.  http://steamsaunabath.com/catalog/descriptions/sauna_coordinator.html (http://steamsaunabath.com/catalog/descriptions/sauna_coordinator.html)
