Title: Bathology Pure 420 water filter system
Post by: 50undStone on August 19, 2011, 07:59:13 AM
When can I expect to change the cartridge on my pure420 water system?  What is the standard life of a cartridge?

There is no standard length of time for the life of the cartridge. It's like a light bulb. Lifetime is based on use and abuse.
The average steam session is 20 minutes and uses 1- 2 gallons of water. since the filter is dedicated to the generator that is all the water that will flow thru it. So depending on how often you use the steam will dictate the filter life. Another factor is water quality. If you have low mineral water the filter will last longer. However if you have very hard water it will need to be changed sooner. In any event the filter is designed to last quite a long time. I suggest you check it once a month and when it starts to look grey it's time to change it. Then you will know.
