Title: has anyone tried a portable steam tent
Post by: Jamie on November 24, 2009, 04:16:36 PM
How about the portable steam kit? Has anyone tryed it?

You sit in an area and zip up a tent like area (head not in tent) and steam filters in on your body.

I did not put steam in my bath room remodel two years ago and now I wish I did.

Thought I might try this portable unit.

We have not tried it but did a little research.
From our over 40 years of steam & sauna experience we decline to get involved.

Many consumers have issues with these types of portable steam cabinets and even though they've been around for years, they don't have much of a following. A couple more concerns we noted on these home steam cabinets, is that the manual is written in broken English (always a bad sign), a feeble 3-month warranty on parts and labor (always a red flag!).

I have tried it recently but was not very happy with its effects....I think it does not suit all the body types.
