Post by: Mike on September 14, 2010, 08:31:38 AM
Iím remodeling my shower to accommodate steam. My question is Iím on well water, what steam manufacturer equipment is best and is there any other equipment needed to install to maintain the longevity of the generator?

The steam generator manufacturer with the most effective maintenance draining system is ThermaSol.  They offer an automatic power flushing system which operates using pressure, similar to flushing your car radiator.  This feature can be found on the SteamShower AF Series or the ProSeries (http://www.steamsaunabath.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Auto+PowerFlush&search_in_description=1&x=25&y=11&categories_id=65&inc_subcat=1&manufacturers_id=24) generators.

In addition, I would recommend installing a water softener on the line unless you have a whole-house system in place.  Check out this residential water filtration system (http://www.steamsaunabath.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=101283) from Amerec.
