Title: Steam head turning white
Post by: Cole on October 05, 2009, 08:13:46 AM
My steam head is turning white with a chalky substance.  It is also staining my tile! This cannot be normal.  Any ideas what i can do?

What you are experiencing is lime/calcium buildup on your steam head.  This is pretty common.
Check with the manufacturer of your equipment before using an chemicals.  We don't want to make it worse by using the wrong cleaner.

I had the same problem with my steam head. I tried everything else and then decided to put a high quality water filter on my water in connection. It worked well for me and I wonder if it would do the same for you.
