Title: the light fixtures in our steam shower are rusting
Post by: Nick on July 24, 2009, 01:22:11 PM
After only a short period of time, we have noticed our fixtures are rusting in spots.  Is the a good cleaner for this type of thing?  They do have a white finish, so steel wool will not work like on chrome...please help!

Not all light fixtures are designed for use in wet environments, much less steam showers, and may not last/perform as expected.  For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your selected product:

  • Allow fixture to cool before cleaning.
  • Do not pressure wash.
  • Apply warm water and a very mild cleanser.
  • Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with warm water immediately after applying a very mild cleanser.
  • Do not allow cleaners to sit or soak.
  • Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring pad to clean surfaces.
