Title: Steam shower control installed on same wall as steam head

When they built my steam room they put the my temperature control on the same wall as the steam output. Is this the best location for it?

Ideally, the steam control should be located near the head of the seated bather and the steam outlet/head should be away from the bather.  As long as your steam/shower seat is away from the direct flow of steam and there is sufficient distance between the control and the steam outlet/head, this will work just fine.

There are several factors to consider when deciding on the steam outlet/head location including distance from floor, distance from door, distance from adjoining wall, control location, seat location, and piping access.  So ask yourself...

Are you satisfied with the temperature in your steam shower with the existing steam outlet/head location?  Are you able to sit and comfortably enjoy your steam shower with the existing steam outlet/head location?  If the answer to these questions are "Yes", then all is well.
