Title: AQUA STEAM, HOME STEAM GENERATOR
Post by: Tyler on June 12, 2012, 11:03:53 AM
My customer has Aqua steam generator with ACASC-130 control.

He was out of town for a couple of months and came back, turned on power and nothing. He does this several times a year and the machine always works. This time, No light in control he thinks he needs a new control. I am not so sure. Is there a way to test the separate components or test the control?

Okay, this generator was made by SteaMist and the control is the same as the TC-130. To start with, someone would need to remove the top cover off the steam generator and see if a Red light is lit. If not, then it should not be related to the TC-130. Let me know what you find.

Okay, i took the cover off but I don't see any lights. I did find a fuse. I checked the continuity and found zero. It looks good but I think the fuse may be bad. It is a 0.15 fuse on the PC board. Do you think that may be the issue?

if the fuse is blown it could certainly be the issue. That is a pretty inexpensive fix so why not try that first and see what happens. Let me know the results.
