Title: COST TO REPLACE STEAMIST SM-79 TANK
Post by: Kivi on December 01, 2009, 04:41:59 PM
I have a Steamist generator that is only about 7-8 years old but the tank is leaking. The TC control works fine but the leak needs to be repaired. What is it going to cost me to replace the tank or am i better off buying a new generator?

You can replace the tank but it is highly recommended that it be done by a Steamist Authorized Service Center, and the work would have a warranty.
You would need the water probe in addition to the tank.
I do not have the ability to provide pricing but my guess is a rough estimate, $800
Side note: The SM-79 has been discontinued but still has some parts available.
