Title: Steamist replacement control
Post by: Kivi on June 30, 2011, 04:26:15 PM
I have a customer who has a 1993 SM-79 with a LLC-1100-3 PC board. He is using a TC-120 control and wants to replace with a TC-150 control. Says he thinks someone told him he ould do thisif he replaced the PC board? is that right?

No PC Board replacement is needed, unless there's an issue with the board.

Today's SMC controls will work with yesterdays SM-79.  The difference is what was octagon is now square.

He would purchase an SMC-150 and should be able to utilize the existing control cable.
