I would like to purchase a LT 8.5 stream generator for my steam shower but according to your calculator in need a SM-12.  I have 422 cubic feet according to your web site but the power I have available will not allow me to use the bigger generator. Is this really that big of an issue? What will happen if i put the LT-85 in this room? Will it never get hot? Will it break the machine?

An undersized generator will have to work twice as hard and your room may still never get up to temperature.  I would consider that a big issue, as this is not a small investment.

There are many possible ways to handle your concern but without knowing the specifics of your room, it would be hard to advise you properly.  I would suggest you call a Steam Bath Specialist and discuss the specifics of your installation.
