Any essential oil you like can be used in the sauna.  Popular varieties include Spruce and Birch but allow personal preference to be your guide.  Look through the aromas here http://www.steamsaunabath.com//catalog/product_info.php/cPath/100001_100014/products_id/100226 as well as some of their other selections and find your favorite.

Thank you for your reply on aroma oil for sauna.

How do you put aroma into the sauna room?

Can I put anything onto the rocks with water?

You should always mix your essential oils into the water in your ladle.  This goes for beer, another popular sauna additive (smells like toast), as well.

Some essential oils can be very strong, and some aromas contain alcohol, which is flammable.  All must be diluted before throwing it on the rocks.  Be sure to speak to someone prior to adding any other substances to your sauna rocks.
