Why would are sauna heater heating elements start to warp & twist looking mangaled?
We have an Amerec Designer where the rocks don't sit in a tray on top, the rocks are down in the heater.

When this happens it was on a heater that had alot of use and the rocks have never been touched since new so they break down and surround the element so tightly that the element cannot express the heat away from it and in turn warps and even burns thru in spots. It is important to remove and replenish rock on a routine basis. This will hold the elements erect and heat can flow thru the heater and away from the element (air will transfer heat faster than rock).
