I am from Russia where we are used to really hot saunas. I am building a sauna room 78"x72"x96". The manufacturer is recommending a 6KW heater even though my cubic feet (312) exceeds the maximum capacity of the heater which is 310 cubic feet. Wouldn't I be better off with a 8KW heater and why can't i get one?

UL & Safety Guidelines are more stringent here in the United States so regardless of which sauna heater you purchase the sauna sensor control ranges 145-195 degs F.
I also noticed you have a ceiling height of 8 feet.
7 foot Ceiling Height is the best height in a sauna to really feel the heat while you are sitting on the upper bench.

In steam & sauna, bigger is not better.  Sized to the manufacturers guidelines is always the best route to go.
