We just bought a new house, and YAY!...There's a sauna in the basement. It has an electric stove, Toivo brand, which I can't find anything on the Web about. There are rocks on the top of the stove, sitting right on the heating elements. The stove still heats up just fine.  But I'm hoping I can use this as a steam sauna. However, I'm hesitant to try it with water without knowing more about the stove.

In general, can you sprinkle water directly on the rocks if they are just sitting on the elements (without being in a pan?
Thanks for any information!

I have the same heater and have the same question.  Did you find out if you can poor water over the rocks?
