Is there anything available that will help preserve the original condition of my sauna wood?  I have seen the sauna at my local gym and know that after time, the wood becomes stained from sweat and I would like to prevent this from happening in my newly installed home sauna.

Your home sauna will look well for many years.  Sit on a towel.  Did you get a backrest?
Health Club saunas are subject to member abuse.  If the Health Club sauna is near a swimming pool that makes it even worse.

I'm sure you'll take very good care of your sauna and it will look new for many many years.

Never paint, varnish, or coat the wood with any kind of chemical.  The heat will create unhealthy fumes.
