I recently purchased a forclosed home that had a steam generator in it. Unfortunately someone took the generator out and left the control which is a Mr. Steam Tempo/Plus control and steam head. On the advise of my contractor I purchased a new Mr. Steam Super 2e generator.  Imagine our surprise when I discovered the control cable was also missing. So now I need to order the Cable, Control, 30', Tempo & Tempo/Plus, Mr.Steam that I found on your web site so I can hook my the generator and control. Can you think of anything else i may need?

I can certainly think of something else you may need. I am concerned that the generator you purchased will not work with the  control you have. There were 2 generations of Tempo controls. In about 2004 the 'T' Tempo control was introduced and then in 2008 it was replaced by the eTempo control. They look alike but are different and use different and require different cables. We can identify the generator and control based on the generator serial number.

Okay, the generator is a Mr. Steam MS Super 2e and the serial number is E953503.
So all i need now is the cable, right?

I suspect you now have a new eTempo generator with and old style control which is not compatible with the new generator.

Click on the link below and go to page 7. You will see the control and cable. The cable has square or thin connectors. this is the tempo cable which works for your control but not for your generator.

Now check this link and go to page 7. This is a eTempo control. You will see the control and cable and the connections are round. If this is different from your existing control you will need a new control.
