Greetings,

Can anybody tell me procedure to test Waterprobe and Water Solenoid in an SM-46?

Something blew MOV-1 Varistor on circuit board and trying to identify root cause.

Thank you
Bob

Hello Bob.
To Blow the MOV, an electrical surge is generally the culprit To check the water solenoid, we suggest checking Ohms on it, a good valve should read in the 2500 to 4000 Ohm range. If it Ohms out good, then 240Volts needs to be applied to it to see if it opens and then closes without power to it.
For the probe, only real way to check it is to pull it out of the tank and view it.
