Earl, thanks for your e mail! The generator is about from 1996 to 1997, Auto flush was purchased in 2010 or 2011. Auto flush L2031 was replaced with PN: MS81500E, generator S/N P76644 are all of the number that is on it. When I replace the L2031 with the MS81500E it only work when it wanted to from to date one. I think the L2031 still good' but I don't know that! Thanks again! Your truly!

Tom, I think I know what the problem is. The older model generator and
auto-flush used a little square red box on the top plate of the generator.
This was called a TDR or time delay relay. This was changed in the early
2000s to a PC board with the TDR built in. That is why the water keeps
running thru the generator. The new auto flush will not work with the old
generator. I'm not exactly sure if a new PC board will do the trick or not
so I am going to recommend you contact Mr. Steam Tech dept at 800-767-8326.
they may have a work around. I will contact them as well.

I think we have a solution here.

Installing AutoFlush on Older Model Generators SN:899,999 and below

1. Remove the connector from the "C" location in the jacket. Cut off the connector where shown and strip back the wires approx 0.375"

2. Cut the connector off the AutoFlush cable where shown and strip back the wires approx 0.375".

3. Remove the knockout in the side of the generator and install a bushing to prevent chafing.

4. Route the wires from the AutoFlush through the knockouts and connect the white wire from the AutoFlush to the white wire from the circuit board using a wire nut.  Repeat for the black wire.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Contact Technical Support for installation of any equipment not shown in these instructions. (800) 707-2862
