There is an acrylic "box" that collects steam drips from the shower head that has cracked.  The Model #is ASM-2, it was manufactured on 03-18-96.  There are no other markings.  Is this part available?

Thank you!!

There have been many acrylic and polycarbonate boxes manufacturered throughout the years for the purpose of redirecting steam generator steam flow and minimize the pervasive hot drip.

Steam bath generator manufacturers prefer the discontinued use of these old-style devices in favor of a new style head that better addresses these concerns.  If this is not an option, the make and model steam generator, and the size of the steam head will enable me to specify the appropriate replacement box.

I pulled our archive materials and the ASM-2 steam bath generator was made for AquaGlass by Steamist.  The steam head has a hex shape and the Steamist acrylic box (weep box) is no longer made.  The steam head protruded less than 2" into the steam shower.

There is an alternate steam diffuser that would work, however; you should verify its size for proper steam shower fit.  You should also verify that you can remove the steam head prior to making the purchase as the diffuser requires so.  If the head is not adequately supported in the wall, removal could be tricky.

Follow this link to see the preferred diffuser. http://www.steamsaunabath.com/catalog/steam-diffuser-amerec-p-235.html

Cheers!
